Boost Your Traffic On Newmarket’s July Festival

As affiliates, there’s nothing more important than keeping those acquisitions on the rise.

An increase in traffic means an increase in commissions, and big sporting events promise a chance to do exactly that.

This Thursday signals the start of one of the biggest horse racing meetings of the summer and one that is well followed by horse racing punters around the globe.

Newmarket is the home of flat racing here in the UK, and this week the July Festival comes to town for three days of some of the best racing on the planet.

With big races every day from Thursday 13th until Saturday 15th July, including six Group races in total, all eyes will be firmly on Newmarket with the action being shown daily on terrestrial TV.

We’ve highlighted the three feature races across the meeting below, getting you right up to speed for a red-hot week of racing.

Princess of Wales’s Arqana Racing Club Stakes (Group 2)

As mentioned before in our previous affiliate blogs on horse racing, jockey Frankie Dettori is something of a celebrity figure in the UK, so his inclusion in big races is always a big plus for attracting new traffic.

He makes his return from injury at Newmarket this week, so his name is likely to be in the headlines more than usual, so a big plus for affiliates.

His first chance at landing a big race on his return comes in the shape of the Princess of Wales’s Arqana Racing Club Stakes where he rides last year’s Betfred Dante winning Wings of Desire.

Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes (Group 1)

Named in honour of Evelyn Boscawen, 6th Viscount Falmouth, who was a leading racehorse owner and breeder in the 19th century, the Falmouth Stakes is a Group One race opened to both fillies and mares aged three years or older.

First run in 1911, two of the last three renewals have been won by leading jockey Ryan Moore including last year with the Aiden O’Brien trained Alice Springs. This year he is likely to take the ride on another O’Brien runner named Roly Poly, and as affiliates, you can expect plenty of interest around any offers or creative containing these key faces in horse racing.

The filly has been chasing 1,000 Guineas winner Winter around all season, finishing runner-up in that very race before landing second in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Darley July Cup Stakes (Group 1)

The meeting’s biggest race is the Darley July Cup. A race that is one of Britain’s most valuable and prestigious races in the sprint division, with many of its winners being regarded as Europe’s champion sprinter.

That means an increase in interest from regular racing punters, with this race right at the top of the races they will want to be staking on.

This year’s expected favourite is the unbeaten Caravaggio who has something of a fan following thanks to his unbeaten record from six racecourse outings.

He won the Commonwealth Cup to punters delighted at Royal Ascot last time, and is regarded by many as one of the best horses currently in training.

So now that you’re clued up on what’s to come, there’s no better place to be than with two of the leading brands from the ActiveWins sportsbook affiliate programme.

A regular sight for sports fans across web and mobile, both Betfred and Totesport are offering industry leading value across all three days of Newmarket’s July Festival.
