ActiveWins Affiliate Team Prepare for SiGMA 2019

21/11/2019

The ActiveWins affiliate team are heading off to Malta next week, but just what is SiGMA? and why should it be on your radar? Allow us to explain.

First held in 2013, the Summit of iGaming Malta (SiGMA) may not quite have reached the dizzying heights of the ‘big three’ gambling affiliate events - LAC, AAC, and BAC just yet, but it is steadily gaining ground, and looks set to become one of the highlights of the gambling industry calendar.

Running from Wednesday, November 27th – Friday November 29th inclusive, the conference brings together leaders in the iGaming industry, with visitors from more than 80 countries heading to the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali.

An estimated 2,500 gambling affiliates will be among them, with 200 speakers sharing their thought-leadership on a variety of industry innovations and challenges that bookmakers and operators face.

Topics include workshops on online slot games, the emerging Asian market, and the explosion of online gambling in North America, and conferences on Blockchain & Bitcoin, Payments & Fintech, and Regulation & Compliance.

ActiveWins first attended SiGMA 2016 and were impressed with the set-up, affiliate Team Leader Eliot Jacob, said:

“It’s very much an up and coming event, and the location creates new opportunities with Malta-based igaming affiliates who may not necessarily attend LAC, AAC, and BAC in Europe.”

ActiveWins works with Malta-based affiliate Matching Visions, and industry leaders such as Catena Media, Blexr, Moneta Communications, and novitana.

Affiliate Director Mark Baker , said: “It’s important for us to spend quality time with our affiliates so we can make sure we are doing our best for them. We look for new avenues to optimise better deals, or we might test other brands”

“Finally, we are always thinking about acquisition. Malta is rich in affiliate sites, so SiGMA is a great chance for us to scout for new affiliates which have the potential to add something big to our portfolio.”

SiGMA also gives our account managers the chance to update their affiliates on changes that could impact them. Recently, totesport announced its decision to close the tote affiliate programme,  but our team are advising sportsbook affiliates to redirect their traffic to the Betfred Sports programme or our new social betting brand Betbull instead.

Affiliate Team Leader Sukhi Sohil and Account Manager George Scholes will be attending all four days of SiGMA. The pair will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have on how to maximise your traffic, or provide more information regarding the latest deals across our brands, such as Kerching, Bucky Bingo, O’Reels, Prospect Halls, new casino Temple Slots, and our premier brand Betfred Casino.

If you can’t make it to Malta, but would still like to speak to a member of the ActiveWins affiliate team, get in touch via email: [email protected] or drop us a line on 0161 672 7777.
